John and Heather Brophy. John is the president of Angels/Murphys Rotary Club. He prepared for the work in Guatemala by raising extra money from his place of employment, and three Rotary clubs in his area. He and Heather also arranged for the local Interact club at Brett Harte High School to raise money and purchase gifts for the students at Turbala school. In Guatemala they both fully participated in the experience. They worked hard (see lower left), played with the children, gave support to the teachers, and chose to sponsor a new student in the Amigos de Guatemala scholarship program. Everyone was impressed with Heather's excellent drawings of Guatemala - creative and beautiful.
