Dr. Rick Holm (left) is a member of
Marina Rotary Club. His club has supported Amigos de Guatemala for many
years under the leadership of International Chair, Tom Hornick. Dr. Holm
began going to Guatemala in 2007. This was his second year.
Dr. Pratt (Fillmore, CA) joined his friend Rick this year to make an excellent
combo team. They worked tirelessly serving as many patients possible in a
5 day period.
The dental team was rounded out with Kristyn Pratt (Dr. Pratt's daughter and
dental assistant), Adelia Hornick - Dr. Holm's assistant, Tom Hornick who
managed many administrative aspects of the clinic and generally kept the
equipment running, and George (can't remember his last name) who was an
excellent translator who speaks English and Spanish and knows enough indigenous
language to translate for the dentists.
A good dental team takes a lot of team work and we believe we have an excellent
team. Congratulations to all involved.
