Cornstalk sided homes are become less common in Guatemala but in the distant rural areas they do still exist.  Above left is a cornstalk house and above right is the cornstalk sided local church.

 
 

The roads to Pasajoc are 4 wheel drive.  At the end of the road paths lead to the aldea (village).  The pictures above show the paths used to carry the chairs, on their heads of course, to the school.  Notice it is the women and children carrying the chairs.
